Director of Development Services, - OSCAR ORCI
The Development Services Department is managed by Oscar W. Orci who is the Development Services Director. The Development Services Director has three divisions: Planning, Building and Safety, and Redevelopment/Economic Development. The Department regulates land uses, applies development standards for new and existing projects and implements the building code. The most visible functions of the Department are the processing of development projects through the Environmental Review Committee, Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission, Planning Commission, and City Council; as well as, implement programs to eliminate blighting conditions through revitaliization of two project areas. The Development Services Department is staffed by a variety of professionals such as Planners, Building Officials, Building Inspectors, and other administrative personnel.

The City of Redlands One Stop Permit Center offers a single place for residents and developers to submit and coordinate projects and plan checks to ensure efficient and effective service and support from Building and Safety, Planning and Engineering personnel.
