8/30/2010 - Redlands Firefighters battle pair of weekend structure fires Redlands Firefighters responded to separate structure fires over the weekend. No one was injured in either blaze.

9/2/2010 - Holiday weekend sobriety checkpoints scheduled The Redlands Police Department will conduct two grant-funded sobriety and driver's license checkpoints over the holiday weekend. Redlands Police officers will also conduct DUI saturation patrols beginning Friday night.
9/1/2010 - Redlands Police plan seatbelt enforcement crackdown: CLICK IT OR TICKET Safety Campaign Saves Lives Redlands Police will be out in force on beginning Thursday, Sept. 2, through Saturday, Sept. 4, searching for unbelted drivers and passengers, enforcing California's seatbelt laws as part of a yearlong Click It or Ticket campaign.
9/1/2010 - Two teen boys arrested for robbery Redlands Police arrested two Redlands teens Tuesday for robbery after they assaulted two boys after school and stole an electronic music player.
8/31/2010 - Redlands man arrested for rape of 13-year-old girl Redlands Police arrested a 19-year-old man Saturday for rape of a 13-year-old girl.
8/25/2010 - DUI checkpoint planned; five arrested for DUI last weekend The Redlands Police Department will conduct a grant-funded sobriety and driver's license checkpoint beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, until 3 a.m., Saturday in the northbound lane of Orange Street, south of Pearl Avenue. Officers will screen drivers passing through the checkpoint for sobriety and for a valid driver's license. Drivers found to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs will be arrested, and unlicensed drivers may be cited and their vehicles may be impounded.
8/18/2010 - Weekend sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols planned The Redlands Police Department will conduct a grant-funded sobriety and driver's license checkpoint beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, until 3 a.m., Saturday in the southbound lane of Cajon Street, south of Cypress Avenue.

8/12/2010 - Redlands man arrested for molesting 10-year-old boy A 20-year-old Redlands man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for sexually molesting a 10-year-old boy.
8/12/2010 - Two face felony charges for vandalizing City property Redlands Police used surveillance camera video and a multiagency database to identify and arrest two people who vandalized city property.
8/11/2010 - 'Chop shop' located after Air 10 tracks stolen motorcycle Redlands Police Air Support picked up an electronic stolen vehicle signal that led to one arrest, recovery of two stolen vehicles and location of a Rialto "chop shop" last week.

City of Redlands Public Information Office
The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for the regular dissemination of public information about the City of Redlands to the media. The PIO hosts press conferences, writes press releases and articles for publication in magazines and newsletters and helps coordinate public events. The Public Information Officer also oversees the City’s Government Access cable TV channels 3 (Time-Warner customers) and 35 (Verizon customers). The Public Information Office includes the Redlands TV video unit, which produces original programming regarding municipal services for Redlands TV.
News releases from the City of Redlands and the Redlands Police Department are available to the press and the public online through the City of Redlands Newsroom.
Redlands TV
Redlands TV is a government access cable channel with programming generated from Redlands City Hall. Programming includes City Council and Planning Commission meetings and select special events either sponsored or co-sponsored by the City; and informational videos highlighting city services and programs. Redlands TV is available to cable television subscribers through Time-Warner cable (Channel 3) or Verizon cable (Channel 35) services.
City Council and Planning Commission meetings are televised live on Tuesdays and replayed the following Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. and Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Informational videos are televised hourly whenever a meeting or other special event is not scheduled.
Redlands TV also provides a Community Events Bulletin Board, listing public service messages, that runs whenever video segments are not on the air. This service is free for government, school and non-profit organizations serving the City of Redlands.
